Consumer behavior: TikTok Challenge

In order to build organic engagement and brand awareness for Valorant, my team and I launched a TikTok page and created excellent quality short video content, and consistently posted at least one video each day by using relevant trending hashtags and interacting regularly with our followers. Although we lost a few posts as a result of trying to grow our account, we achieved three thousand seven hundred fifty views, one hundred forty-four likes, and one hundred two followers within seven days of posting on the platform, which proved that our content was virally shared, and we received a good engagement level for our content with potential consumers.

Market Experiment on the Effects of TikTok's Challenges on Consumer Behavior

As part of an assignment for school, my group and I performed a market experiment testing how TikTok's challenges can impact consumers' purchasing decisions. Following the guidelines set by my professor, we developed a TikTok account and created content to engage users organically, without using any paid promotion.

Initially, we set up our account as a Gamer profile to attract the Valorant gaming community. However, after we had our first account suspended due to copyright infringement, we had to change our branding and content strategy.

To achieve our goals, we took the following approach with our project

- Content Creation that is Fun and Exciting: Create videos that last 20-40 seconds and are fun enough for viewers to stay engaged.

- Consistent Posting: Create content every 12 hours to maximize engagement potential by utilizing the TikTok algorithm.

- Utilize Trending Themes: Use trending hashtags for example (#Valorant, #SniperShowdown) and reach out to other TikTok users in the same genre.

- Community Engagement with Our Fans: Respond to comments left by individuals who view our content, create conversations related to our content, and reference other users' content when relevant.

The Results

Total Data Gathered: 3775 views, with 144 likes, 102 followers, and 35 comments ,

Most Viewed Content: 2107 views, 107 likes, and 4 comments,

Least Viewed Content: 78 views, 7 likes, and 7 comments.
