For this project, my team partner and I created a TikTok account to maximize organic engagement within the Valorant gaming community. We focused on high-quality, short-form content, consistent posting, trending hashtags, and audience interaction. Despite initial setbacks, our strategy led to 3,750 views, 144 likes, and 102 followers within a week. This experiment provided valuable insights into content virality and consumer engagement.

Consumer Behavior: TikTok Challenge Experiment

For this project, my team partner and I explored consumer behavior through a hands-on TikTok marketing experiment. Following our professor’s guidelines, we created and managed a TikTok account to generate maximum organic engagement without paid promotions.

Our strategy began with a gaming-focused approach, targeting the Valorant community. Initially, our first account was banned due to copyright issues, leading us to pivot and refine our branding and content strategy.

Key Strategies:

  • High-Quality Videos: Short, engaging clips (20-40 seconds) to maintain viewer interest.

  • Consistent Posting: New content every 12 hours to maximize algorithm traction.

  • Trend Utilization: Leveraging trending hashtags (#Valorant, #Snipershowdown) and engaging with the community.

  • Audience Interaction: Replying to comments, participating in discussions, and mentioning relevant creators.

Results & Insights:

  • Total Metrics: 3,750 views, 144 likes, 102 followers, 35 comments.

  • Most Popular Post: 2,107 views, 107 likes, 4 comments.

  • Least Popular Post: 78 views, 7 likes, 7 comments.
